What is a Family Session?
Family sessions are relaxed, guided experiences designed to capture genuine connection in a natural, meaningful way.
There is no pressure for perfect behavior, stiff posing, or forced smiles. Instead, I gently guide your family through simple prompts and movement that allow real emotion and connection to unfold naturally.
Whether your family is playful, quiet, energetic, or somewhere in between—your session is shaped around who you truly are together.
These sessions can take place in my studio or outdoors, depending on the season and the feel you love most.
When to Book
Family sessions are available year-round, with outdoor sessions offering beautiful seasonal variety in Minnesota.
Golden hour (evening light) is especially popular for outdoor sessions, while studio sessions offer a timeless, clean, and cozy feel regardless of weather.
I recommend booking in advance, especially for fall and weekend dates, as those tend to fill quickly.

You do not need to worry about knowing how to pose your children or what to do in front of the camera. I will guide you through everything in a calm, natural way so you can focus on being together.
We’ll mix a combination of gentle direction and candid interaction to create images that feel alive and honest.

Where do sessions take place?
Family sessions can be held in my studio or outdoors at our exclusive location or you can book an in home session depending on the season and your preference.
How long does the session last?
Sessions are relaxed and typically last long enough to allow breaks, movement, and natural interaction without rushing.
Can we include extended family?
Yes—extended family sessions are available. Please reach out for details so we can plan accordingly.
What should we wear?
You’ll receive styling guidance to help coordinate outfits in a way that feels natural, timeless, and cohesive without being overly matching.

Do I need to bring anything?
You only need the essentials for your yourself or your children (water, snacks, etc.). The studio does have some items to help style your family if needed it but we do not provide a wardrobe for every member of the family as styles change.
What we do offer is specialized for newborn outfits for newborn session gowns for maternity sessions, high end knit for our fairytale style sessions.
How long does it take to get our photos?
Your images will be ready within 2–3 weeks. This time allows me to gently and intentionally edit each photograph, preserving the softness and beauty of these fleeting early days.
Do you travel for photoshoots?
Newborn sessions are held in my studio, where everything is thoughtfully prepared for a calm and seamless experience. This allows me to provide the highest level of care, comfort, and consistency for your baby.
Do you offer albums or prints?
Yes. Your gallery includes convenient, easy-to-use features for ordering prints or designing a beautiful custom album directly from your images. It’s a simple way to turn your memories into something tangible you can hold and revisit for years to come.
